Sliders With Bacon and Turkey Recipe

After having smoked the turkey you can dice it or shave it, whatever your preference is, I diced it myself. Next, cut the buns in half, keep the group of buns together as we are going to make these pull apart sliders.

Once sliced in half, add the smoked turkey. These sliders are great if you have some leftover turkey or want something that the kids can enjoy on for an easy summer lunch.

After having layered the turkey on the bottom of the buns, add some crumbled bacon. The bacon can be done one of two ways. You can either take some bacon, cook in a pan and then crumble once it has cooled down. The other option would be to use some real bacon bits. Warm them up in a pan and then add on top of the turkey. I have used both methods and they have both worked just fine.

While wrapping up the final stages of this recipe, start melting a 1/4 stick of butter. We are going to use that to brush the tops of the buns. At this time you can also start the oven or grill for a temperature of 350°. While those are warming up, go ahead and layer some Swiss cheese on top of the bacon and turkey. Place the roll tops back on and we can then brush on the melted butter.

With the butter melted on, place them on the grill or in the oven and we will get the cheese melted and the rolls toasted just a bit. Keep an eye on them as they could brown quickly and we don’t want them getting burnt.

As soon as they are done, right around that ten minute mark, you can pull them and serve them while they are hot!
